This page is the plain-language summary of our privacy policy. Every statement on it describes how the software is built today.
Where data lives
Bills, line items and the original photos or PDFs are stored in PostgreSQL. The API runs on DigitalOcean and this website on Netlify.

Accounts
Passwords are hashed with Argon2id. You confirm your email before the first login. Sessions are short-lived, and “Log out everywhere” ends all of them at once.
Images
Photos are shrunk to at most 2000 px on the long side before they are read and stored. The shrunk version is what we keep.
Reading
Documents are sent to Anthropic’s API to be read by Claude. Anthropic’s commercial terms govern that processing; check their current policy on training with API data before relying on it.

Deletion
Removing a bill deletes its file. Deleting your account deletes everything, immediately. There is no soft delete and no retention period on our side.
Payments
Handled by Stripe on Stripe-hosted pages. Snapbill never sees or stores card numbers.
Analytics
This website uses no cookies and no cookie banner. If analytics are added, they will be cookie-free.
