How it works

From a photo to rows you can check.

Five steps, in the order they happen. Nothing to set up first.

  1. CaptureUse the phone camera or drop several files at once. Supported files are JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF and PDF, up to 25 MB each. Reading runs in the background, so you can keep working while the pile is read. If a read fails, retry without uploading again.
  2. ReadClaude, Anthropic’s AI model, extracts the merchant, date, currency, subtotal, tax, tip, total, payment method, invoice number, category, a short description, a confidence flag and every line item. Images are shrunk to at most 2000 px before they are read.
  3. CheckEdit any value in place, add or remove lines, recalculate totals, and mark the bill “looks right”. Figures that don’t add up are flagged ≠. The original is one click away, so you never have to trust the extraction blindly.
  4. OrganiseFile bills into projects: a trip, a client, a tax year. Give a project a base currency, dates, a budget and the claim details it needs. Anything unfiled waits in Unfiled until you move it, alone or in bulk.
  5. ExportProduce a ledger (one row per bill, or one per line item) or an expense claim, as CSV, Excel, PDF, JSON, or a ZIP that bundles the receipts.

What Snapbill doesn’t do

Being clear about this saves you a sign-up if it isn’t the right tool.

  • No bank feeds. Snapbill reads paper and PDFs, not your bank account.
  • No accounting integrations yet. Export CSV or Excel and import it where your books live.
  • No approval workflow. You produce the claim; your employer’s process takes it from there.
  • No mobile app to install. It runs in the browser, including the phone camera.

Your next receipt is the first test.

Free for 10 bills a month. No card needed.
